Burns Supper in Estonia

This is an event with large scale of entertainment. There is good food, whiskey, poetry, fun toasts, food and whiskey again and lots of dancing to end the evening.

You can either participate actively or just relax and enjoy the merryment.

Listen to Burns songs! We have launched a CD of Robert Burns Songs.  Look at  CD video (a teaser) 🙂
Media video CD launch concert  in Haapsalu.
Purchase the CD of Robert Burns songs in Estonian CD in beautiful Estonian Tartan.  Or get a simple CD without a tartan sleeve.

Please note that our Burns Suppers follow all of the ritual but all evening is in Estonian. Ask us and we will provide you with translation for the highlights of the evening.  You will get lots of songs, poems, jokes, good food and dance. Each time the same but very different, depending on who is performing and who makes the speech and toasts. Ceilidh dances are simple, we call the dances and you do not need to know any of the steps.

A loved Estonian actor Jüri Krjukov reads Burns poetry in Estonian  HERE.

During the evening we read a poem to Scottish traditional food hagis “Ode to Hagis“.

If we are allowed by the situation then our next Burns Supper of 2021 will take place for the eleventh time – this year for the third year in a row in an unbelievably beautiful Scottish castle in South Estonia, in Alatskivi Castle
